We left Ohio on June 27 to head to Toronto, Canada. My parents drove us to the airport and dropped us off nearly 2 hours before we were supposed to leave, since it was an international flight. By the time we got through security, our flight had been delayed. We were delayed for nearly 2 hours, but thankfully made it onto the plane that afternoon! I think it was the smallest plane I have ever been on. There were 13 rows and only 4 seats in each row. Thankfully, I had an exit seat so I had a little more room! After a quick 45 minute flight from Columbus to Toronto, we took the UP Express from the airport to Union Station downtown and subway to our hotel. The subway in Toronto was so quiet and clean! We stayed at The Anndore House, which worked really well for us, since it was a Hyatt property and we were able to use points for the stay. That evening, we were ready to see what we could find in Toronto! Brennan found tickets to an improv show, so we decided to start walking and explore on the way. As we were strolling through the city, we got a notification that our tickets were refunded. Thankfully, we were able to pivot quickly and went to Amsterdam Brewery, which is right on the waterfront in downtown Toronto. It was a little chilly, especially after the sun went down, but the view was beautiful. On Tuesday morning, we had breakfast at the hotel (thanks Hyatt Globalist status!) and went back to Union Station to meet our guide for a walking tour. Bri from Tour Guys showed us around the downtown area of Toronto, especially focusing on the historic part of the city. I didn't know much about Toronto before this, so it was interesting to hear about the buildings, like the CIBC building shown below. We also went in the PATH system, which is a series of tunnels all under the downtown area. It's like a city down there-lots of food courts, banks, dental clinics, barbers, etc. Our tour ended in front of City Hall, which is where the Toronto sign is located. By the time the tour finished up, it was time to go back to the hotel, shower and head to the airport to go to London!
